Sunset Park With Iris

On July 30,2021 Iris and myself was a Sunset Park for a photoshoot. Started off cloudy which made for a great start for the shoot.

Iris looked amazing and you can see the enthusiasm she had to do the shoot. We immediately went over to the lake to pick a great backdrop for the pictures.

The moment we got setup. A swan came over to Iris, you would have thought it was her pet. we got some great shots with her with the swan.

Iris went with two outfit looks. She looked great in both of them and with her great posing ability it for a fun and very pleasing experience. Iris was lots of fun. It was easy to see she was really putting her heart into her craft.

We also did some video which will be posted later. Iris was very creative and was having lots of fun with making the videos.

I would encourage any photographer to do a photo session with Iris. She is Creative, Fun and has a great spirit for what she does. Ty Iris for the amazing Photoshoot!!

Jean Dry Lakebed With Shari

On July 24,2021 Shari and I went to the Seven Magic Mountains to do a Fitness wear shoot for Shari’s clothing website www.curlyfitnesslife.com. We got started early. It was overcast and and not overbearing with heat.

The shoot very good. We were able to get all three outfits completed for her website with time to go to the Jean Dry Lakebed. Shari brought additional outfit for the lakebed shoot. Her choice of outfit hit the mark perfect for the shoot.

We started out with doing video with the gimbal and the drone. Was hoping for a little more light. Still was able to get some great video. Then we preceded to get some pictures. Shari was absolutely amazing!! Shari is very talented when it comes to posing and giving great personality to the camera. It also showed greatly without disappointment will doing the video part of the shoot.

Shari is very talented and a pleasure to work with every time. I encourage ANY photographer that needs to do a shoot with split second posing skills and a great passion for the theme of the shoot, Shari is the model to work with. Thank you Shari for another amazing shoot!!

Garage Studio and Backdrop Test

On July 10,2021 John Laughlin, Mike Lee and myself got together to test run my garage studio and a set of backdrops that Mike had ordered. Studio was setup really nice. We had options. With the overhead lighting I installed was giving us enough light to get great shots and also had the studio lighting by turning off the overhead lights gave us options for more creative shots.

John came along with Mike to help us in the model role. Mike did amazing job. Definitely very skilled in his posing abilities. We were able to get over 390 test shots for the evening. John worked with three different outfits to give different scenarios to see how the backdrops would hold up.

Mike did amazing job directing the test shoot throughout the evening. It was a great success. These will be backdrops we will be using for our August event.

Shari’s Day In The Arts District

On Sunday morning July 11,2021 I meet with model Shari do a photoshoot and two locations at the Art District of Las Vegas. Shari came with three different outfits for shoot picked for each scene. The choices she made fit each scenario perfectly.

We started with the roses on California Dr. Shari had choose a black dress for this scene and made for a very classy and sexy shoot. Shari was very skilled in her posing. I followed her lead all the way through. We ended up taking over one-hundred pictures from that scene.

Then Shari and I proceeded down main street a few blocks to our next location where we had our sunflower and hedge scene. Shari choose two outfits one was a nice flowered summer dress for the sunflower scene and the elegant rose dress for the hedge scene.

Again with Shari’s posing skills she ran through with her posing rhythm and I followed with the pictures. Turned out a lot of amazing pictures. Shari is a great gift to any photographer in wanting to do a photoshoot with her.

Turned out to be amazing morning. My experience with Shari. She came prepared and on time. She has an amazing attitude. Lots of fun working back and forth on which photos she want me to edit and post for her. I would highly recommend any photographer looking to do a specialty shoot, Shari has a lot of modeling talent to give and with a great attitude to match!! A win win!!

Ashley’s Breakout Day

On July 9,2021 Ashley and started early in the morning to do a photoshoot at Seven Magic Mountain and Pioneer Saloon just outside of Las Vegas. While in the middle of a heatwave we arrived early to get a good start before it got really hot.

We started off at the Seven Magic Mountains. The statues have been newly repainted. This was the third outing for Ashley posing as a model. I noticed right away about ten minutes into the shoot Ashley was starting to get into a groove and starting feeling more comfortable in front of the camera. She was creating ideas on what she wanted to do and having fun following through with her poses.

We left Seven Magic Mountain and proceeded to the Pioneer Saloon. At this point it did not take five minutes and Ashley was in the zone. She having so much fun and I started to see her breaking out with some new poses. Its really lots of fun watching Ashley that her passion of modeling and growing with it.

Ashley and I completed the photoshoot before 11am and was to sit down and have lunch at the Saloon and have a great conversation with the waitress Kristi. Which by the way if you ever go to the Pioneer Saloon. I highly recommend Kristi as your waitress!!!

Fun Day at Sunset Park

On July 9,2021 Ashley and i wanted to do some fun and laid back to break this summer heat. We decided to go to Sunset Park. Even on the hottest days the shade trees can make it for a comfortable day. Plenty of people out with their families doing picnic lunches under the trees.

Ashley brought two outfits to get some pictures with. Sunset Park has plenty of opportunities for some great pics we decided to stay front side of the lake.

We started off with her teal outfit and was able to get some great shots then Ashley went to her fitness outfit. Needless to say that brought the playful side of Ashley. After a couple of posing pics she stated “I am climbing some trees!!”

Lol, I am saying “Oh My! get my phone ready for 911” Just kidding!! She climbed the trees and we got some great pics from the tree. After Ashley got down from the tree she started playing with the ducks, chasing them. Finished off by doing some yoga and jumping exercises.

Turned out to be a great fun day getting out of heat and into the shade getting some fun relaxing pictures. Great Job Ashley!!!!

Nelson Ghost Town Shoot

On July 3,2021 We did a photoshoot at the Nelson Ghost Town in Nelson Nevada. Its rich with plenty of photographic opportunities. The folks who run the Ghost Town were absolutely amazing and very hospitable. They allowed Caitlin to use the bedroom in the main house to change between outfits which made it very convenient. We were blessed with a overcast day which made it easy for getting a great photo session.

I was using Caitlin as our model for the day. Absolutely could not have been a better choice. She brought three outfits and with hard work she put into her hair and makeup, She really filled the Pin Up theme perfectly. She brought her boyfriend David along. Which made a great addition to the shoot. David was amazing great personality. He helped out all the way through the shoot and even brought some really good picture ideas to the theme of our shoot. David was a great asset to both Caitlin and myself.

We took close to one-hundred photos. With Caitlin’s experience she did all her own poses and choose her spots that she wanted shoot. Caitlin directed a perfect shoot all the way through. there are so many opportunities to shoot from at the Nelson Ghost Town you could easily go there three different times with three different models and have three different photo sessions.

We finished in just over two hours of shooting. Caitlin really worked hard all the way through. Its easy to see how hard models are working especially when they know they are the center of attention of the shoot. All in all a great morning and a special thanks to David for his assistance throughout the shoot. When shooting in Nelson it is recommended to have that third person.

Art District of Las Vegas Photoshoot

On the morning of June 26,2021 model Ashley, Mike Lee and myself meet at the Art District of Las Vegas for a photoshoot. It was Ashley’s first photoshoot as a model. We looked around for some fun artistic spots to shoot from. Although there was plenty to choose from. Mike did a great job finding some great spots to shoot from.

The first spot was in one of many alleys to choose from in the area. Had nice mural of some white roses and the other side had artistic figures painted on the other walls with the Stratosphere in the background which made it great for a few of the shots. Ashley did amazing job from the start of the shooting. She came out with a red dress that complimented her very nicely.

Moving throughout the ally we got a lot of great shots. Ashley was getting the feel for posing and she was receptive to way that Mike and i was having her pose. She was having a lot of fun as the shoot went on. Ashley started bringing creative ideas into the shoot as we went along.

We moved onto our second location. Very colorful wall scene with sunflowers along with a nice hedged wall and freight container with underwater graffiti painted on it. Ashley changed into her black dress. She looked just as stunning as she was in the red dress.

Started off with the sunflower wall and got some great pictures. Moved onto the hedged wall and started working on some new posing ideas. Ashley was doing great all through the shooting process and by the time we moved over to the freight container i had Ashley go with some poses that she wanted to do.

Amazing and fun morning all the way around. Ashley would be a pleasure for and photographer to do a shoot with. She has a excellent with great respect also very respectful. She has great potential. It will be fun watching her growing in her modeling endeavors.

Oasis Photoshoot

On May 29,2021 I had my first real photoshoot with three models at the Oasis Studios in Las Vegas ran by Mike Lee and the host of the studio was Louis Paul. Louis has a great studio with plenty of props to keep you busy all day with your models both indoors and outdoors. Mike had put the event together to get me some experience shooting models.

I have to say Mike done a excellent job with the models that he choose for the afternoon of shooting. Their modeling experience was amazing and their personalities were second to none. It made it real easy for me to get a feel for the model photography. The models made it a very fun and carefree day. Up to that point I only did landscape photography using Canon EOS R, Mavic 2 Pro drone and the GoPro.

First model I did photos with was Alexandra. Very quiet and fun personality with a lot of passion in her presentation of poses She had her poses down to a science. She has been modeling for over eight years. She really made it easy coming out of the gate for the first time. Secondly was Dani. She was full of energy and fun. Same as Alexandra, Dani has a years of experience really knew she wanted in her poses and what feel she was going after. Dani was a blast to work with. It was like the camera and Dani was meant to be together. Finally there was Julia. again Julia has great modeling experience and had a real passion for the camera. Julia has a great compassion for life which was easily seen through her pictures that day.

During the editing process, of course my first time processing model pictures. Needless to say I made a few mistakes. All three of the ladies were very understandable and work with me till the pictures were edited to satisfaction. Being that this was my first time it was real easy to see how hard it for the ladies out there modeling. They really are working hard working through the poises. It was a great learning experience. I would recommend any photographer to do a photoshoot with either one of these ladies. You will find it a very comfortable and fun experience. Thank You Ladies for your hard work that day!!
